I am contacting them and will march with them. If undocumented get a bill, our bill will come automatically. We should be supporting them. If we support them they will also support us. With their support we can get our bill. If we try to do a rally for ourselves the so called educated people on H1B and EAD will not come. They will rather spend time driving in their nice car to Disney or eat out in a fancy restaurant. So I believe we need to side with undocumented and help them to help ourselves.

Hi,
Is it legal to come here and work while waiting for an L1 visa. This person(not myself) arrived on an I-94 Visa waiver with full knowledge, worked during that week while waiting for their L1A non-immigrant application to be approved(week later). Please advise. What are the ramifications of this once its passed or immigration finds out?

I have a straight case working on H1 for same employer since 5 years. My 2nd H1 was approved on Oct 1 2007 valid till 2010. I saw a soft LUD on my H1 for 4/26/2009. I am not too worried I think it is just system update thing.
My previous attorney also mentioned the same thing. Looking at this thread it seems all soft/hard lud's were generated on Sunday, April 26th. Maybe a computer program flagged these cases.

I am in the same boat. They are taking way too long to process H1-B extensions.
Guys please advised how is the process for the extension...

My daughter is now 22 years old and filed I-485 on behalf of me in the year 2007. That time she was only 19 years.
Now she is planning to get married before getting a green card. Her bride-groom is H-1 visa and not applied for labor. Will her I- 485 application be cancelled?.
I am also porting to eb-2 in the next three months. I am hoping to get green card may be after Sept 2011.
Suppose she gets married before the green card what will happend to her case. Please I need advise.

I agree. Everyone wants to sit in front of computer & IV forum and watch what good can come to them of this. Everyone needs to roll-up their sleeves, contact friends, spread awareness etc.

I understand the 10-day rule, but when does the clock start?
The date of lease starting or the date of actual move.....ideally these shouldnt be too far apart, but in my case they will be, hence the confusion.

If you did ask for a fee waiver could you check that you entered the right receipt number? This could be someone else's case as I don't think you would qualify for a fee waiver.

I do not think, number of employees matter. I work for a desi company and it has just 2 employees. Labor was breeze and 140 got approved in 4 weeks. Never got any RFE. However, I was in EB-3 despite having 4 years bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience.

I am planning for my visa in Jan at Mumbai consulate. I do not have any relatives in either mumbai/pune who can submit my documents 3 days before the appointment.
Has anyone faced this issue? I have sent them an email asking if I can mail the documents to them. Lets see what they reply. Does anyone has experience what to do in situation like this?

There is no fees for bringing foreign exchange into India. It is applicable to all passengers irrespective of their nationality or purpose of visit to India. However no import of Indian money is allowed by non resident Indians / foreign nationals. Indian residents can bring in up to Rs. 7.500.

My 140 was filed last week and I don't have the receipt number. Can I file 485 without I140 receipt number?
Ask yourself.. how do people file concurrently ?! .. the only problem will be if your I-485 comes for review before I-140 is cleared. Then you'll get a notice for denial since I-140 is not approved. But what are the chances of that happening in todays scenario unless you have a very old PD>

Let us not assume. The worst that can happen from this request for a seat at the table is that they will deny the request.
There is a first time for everything. The transition team having a transparent open door policy for anyone's suggestion itself is a novel idea.
Obama and company are looking for ways to create jobs and revive the economy. Any idea that works towards those goals, I am pretty sure they will be all ears.

I think its your LC job requirements which governs EB2/EB3. For EB2 classification on your I-140, your job must require 'Masters' or 'Bachelors+5Yrs Experience' on Labor Certification.

OK, fine then ... I stink as a photographer and should sell my equipment immediately. But as long as I'm here, I like Solitary Fisherman the best, then Father and Son, but I suggest cropping it to have a bit more space in front of them than behind them.
